APSU Softball’s Red Team holds off Black Team to win final game of Fall World Series

 

APSU SoftballClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay Peay State University softball’s Red Team rallied from behind to score three seven-inning runs, then held off the APSU Black Team in the bottom of the inning, Wednesday afternoon at Cathi Maynard Park-Cheryl Holt Field, as they won the finale of the Austin Peay Softball Fall World Series, 4-3.

President Donald Trump secures permanent ceasefire in northeast Syria with Turkey

Marsha Blackburn, Josh Hawley Introduce Bill to Move Most Federal Agencies Out of Washington D.C.

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – On Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019, Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) introduced the Helping Infrastructure Restore the Economy (HIRE) Act, which moves most federal agencies out of Washington, D.C. and into the heart of economically-distressed regions across the country.

“Moving agencies outside of Washington, D.C. both boosts local economies and lowers costs – that’s a winning combination,” Senator Blackburn said.

American Red Cross needs Healthy Donors to maintain Blood Supply

 

American Red CrossNashville, TN – As influenza activity picks up this fall, the American Red Cross is urging healthy donors of all blood types to give blood or platelets to ensure a strong blood supply for patients in need. Blood and platelets can only be given by donors who are feeling well.

Clarksville Police release update on College Street Homicide Investigation

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are looking for Williams Harvey Ellis, age 30 who may have information related to the investigation into the shooting death of Ontario Marbury, age 31 which occurred in the 900 block of College Street.

Williams Harvey Ellis has two active Criminal Court warrants for Violation of Probation and Aggravated Burglary. Both are Hold without Bond warrants.

Clarksville Police have located, arrested Shomari Moody

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On October 11th, 2019, Clarksville Police asked for the public’s assistance to locate Shomari Moody, age 18, who has been involved with several vehicle burglaries and motor vehicle thefts over the past four months.

Police located and took Shomari Moody in custody on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with: Theft of Property, Simple Possession, and Auto Theft.

Shomari Moody has been taken into custody by Clarksville Police.
