CMCSS announces Assistant Principal Appointments

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) announces that Abby Binkley, who has been assistant principal at Glenellen Elementary School has been tapped to serve in the same capacity at Minglewood Elementary School, replacing Ashlie Perry who was named Minglewood principal.

Binkley previously served as assistant principal at Northeast High School before serving as executive director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation for two years.

She earned her B.S. in K-12 health and physical education from Kennesaw State University and her master’s of education degree in administration and supervision from Bethel University. She has nine years of teaching experience in CMCSS.

Her experience includes two years at Rossview High School, two years in school technology and five years in elementary physical education. In addition to her high school teaching experience, she has taught at Rossview Elementary School and West Creek Elementary School.

Carla Offutt

Carla Offutt has been named to replace Binkley at Glenellen. Offutt has served as assistant principal at Oakland Elementary School since 2016. She has more than 20 years of educational experience and earned her M.A. in education and her educational leadership endorsement from Cumberland University.

She holds a B.S. in early childhood education from Middle Tennessee State University. She previously served as academic coach and kindergarten teacher at Glenellen. Other educational experience comes from Chattanooga and Murfreesboro.
