Clarksville Police Sergeant Johnny Ferguson acted quickly to save Two Men and a Dog from a house fire on Oakmont Drive.

Someone yelled out from inside of the house to see what he wanted. There were two men asleep inside of the house and had no idea the house was on fire.

The men evacuated the house and quickly realized there was a dog still inside. The owner along with Officer Thomas Walker were able to coax the dog out of the house to safety. It was a matter of minutes that the house was full of flames.

If Sergeant Ferguson had went by any sooner, he would not have spotted the fire in the early stages and if it had been any later, there is a good possibility, the occupants may not have been made aware before it was too late.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Additionally, the fire had no relationship to the domestic being investigated.
