Gateway Chamber Orchestra to hold annual “Winter Baroque”, December 8th

Gateway Chamber OrchestraClarksville, TN – On Sunday, December 8th, 2019, the Gateway Chamber Orchestra will host their annual winter concert at 4:00pm at Madison Street United Methodist Church in Downtown Clarksville. Tickets are available now for the Gateway Chamber Orchestra’s 2019-20 season – Emotion Abounds. This season presents the works of Franz Joseph Hayden, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and other composers who have come to define the GCO’s sound and approach, as well as a wide selection of top-notch guest performances.

This season presents the works of Franz Joseph Hayden, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and other composers who have come to define the GCO’s sound and approach, as well as a wide selection of top-notch guest performances.

The Gateway Chamber Choir joins the orchestra to celebrate the holidays with Baroque classics, as well as the popular audience carol sing-along.

The performance will take place in the historic Madison Street United Methodist Church in Downtown Clarksville.

The Masterworks Series will continue exploring established masterworks, overlooked treasures and works by contemporary American composers in the new year. This season, titled ‘Emotion Abounds,’ presents a slate of powerful and emotional programs featuring favorite composers of the GCO, including Mozart, Schubert, Schoenburg, and, of course, Haydn, who will be celebrated in the annual ‘America’s Haydn Festival’ April 2nd-6th, 2020.

The season will culminate with the 2nd annual ‘BBQ, Brews & Beethoven’ featuring Copland’s ‘Appalachian Spring,’ local craft beer and delicious BBQ.

Individual tickets to ‘Winter Baroque’ on December 8th are available now with discounts given to students and active duty military or reserve.
