Austin Peay State University Basketball rolls in second half to 81-60 win over Southeastern Louisiana
Clarksville, TN – It was a victorious day indeed at Austin Peay State University (APSU). Inside the Dunn Center, Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team roared back to defeat Southeastern Louisiana, 81-60, giving up just 12 second-half points in standout defensive performance.
Columbia, MO – A career performance from junior quarterback Jarrett Guarantano and 100-yard receiving outputs from three different receivers pushed Tennessee Vols Football past Missouri 24-20 for its fourth consecutive win and its fifth win in six games on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
The Vols improved to 6-5 on the year and 4-3 in SEC play, becoming bowl eligible, while Missouri fell to 5-6 and 2-5 in conference play.
Guarantano put together an impressive display through the air, completing 23-of-40 passes for a career-high 415 yards and two touchdowns.
Senator Lamar Alexander, Now is the Time to Pass Permanent Funding for Historically Black Colleges, Universities, Minority Serving Institutions
Washington, D.C. – Senate education committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said “now is the time to pass permanent funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other Minority Serving Institutions.”
Alexander made his remarks on the Senate floor after Senate Democrats blocked Alexander’s bipartisan package of higher education proposals that includes $255 million in permanent annual funding for HBCUs and simplifying the FAFSA federal aid application that 8 million minority students fill out each year.

Fort Campbell, KY – In September 2019, the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) published an operations order directing the turn-in of all excess and unserviceable containers. The turn-in began early this month and will continue until completion sometime in January or February 2020.
