Clarksville Parks and Recreation reports Christmas on the Cumberland Grand opening cancelled, due to inclement weather

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the Christmas on the Cumberland Grand Opening scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, November 26th, 2019, has been cancelled, due to the threat of inclement weather.

While the event will not be rescheduled, the public will still be able to enjoy the lights starting on Wednesday, November 27th, 2019.

Christmas on the Cumberland, Clarksville’s popular lighted walk-through event, will be open nightly from 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sunday through Thursday and 5:00pm-11:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays through January 1st, 2020. Admission is free.

Family-friendly activities will take place from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday, December 14th and 21st. This year’s free activities include free hot chocolate, holiday crafts, and performances by local dance groups.

New this year, we’ve partnered with Fleet Feet Clarksville to provide a whole new way to experience the dazzling lights at the first-ever Christmas on the Cumberland Light Run, Saturday, December 14th at McGregor Park. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of new Christmas on the Cumberland light displays!

Registrants can choose to participate in either the one-mile event ($10.00) or the 5K ($20.00) beginning at 4:00pm. Online registration can be completed by visiting www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com

In-person registration is from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Office, 102 Public Square, Downtown Clarksville. Registration closes Wednesday, December 11th.
