Tennessee Vols Football defeats Vanderbilt 28-10 at Neyland Stadium

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Freshman running back Eric Gray moved like lightning, and the hard-hitting Tennessee Football defense delivered the thunder as the Volunteers tormed past Vanderbilt, 28-10, on a rain-soaked Senior Night at Neyland Stadium.
 
With the victory, UT finished the regular season at 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the SEC. The Vols are bowl eligible for the first time since 2016 and will learn their destination and opponent when bids are announced on December 8th. The Commodores, meanwhile, saw their three-game winning streak in the series end and their record fall to 3-9 overall and 1-7 in league play.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The new Christmas Light Run gives you and your family a unique opportunity to run or walk through Christmas on the Cumberland and support Clarksville’s popular light display. Experience the dazzling lights in a whole new way from 4:00pm-6:00pm, Saturday, December 14th at McGregor Park.

All proceeds will go towards the purchase of new Christmas on the Cumberland light displays!

Registrants can choose to participate in either the one-mile event ($10.00) or the 5K ($20.00) beginning at 4:00pm Online registration can be completed by visiting www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com

Nashville Predators fall to the Florida Panthers 3-0

 

Nashville PredatorsSunrise, FL – The Nashville Predators fell to the Florida Panthers in the second game of a back-to-back series 3-0, unable to score on Panthers goalie Chris Driedger who was playing in his first NHL game.

Driedger played like a seasoned veteran, stonewalling the Predators on all 27 shots he faced in the contest.

Nashville had some momentum coming into this game after last night’s shutout victory over the Carolina Hurricanes, but couldn’t break through on the scoreboard.

Tennessee Vols beat Virginia Commonwealth on last second shot, 72-69

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNiceville, FL – With 1.7 seconds remaining and the score tied at 69-69, Tennessee senior Lamonte Turner buried a 3-pointer from the corner to lift the Volunteers to a 72-69 victory over VCU on Saturday night at the Emerald Coast Classic.
 
Turner’s buzzer-beater capped his 12-point, seven-assist performance, which also featured with three steals.
 
Vols junior John Fulkerson scored a career-high 17 points and racked up seven rebounds as UT improved to 6-1.
