#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. Giving Tuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 3rd, and throughout the year.

Habitat for Humanity MCTN is participating this year by asking for donations, volunteers, or gifts-in-kind, which can come in any form. If you can’t make a monetary donation, Habitat is always in need of community volunteers who want to help our partner-families reach their homeownership goals.

“This campaign is about more than money – it’s about providing resources to build affordable homes in our community. The families we work with put in hundreds of hours of sweat equity as part of the home-building process. Your gift, in any amount or form, can bring these families one step closer to those goals and help reach other families in need,” said Rob Selkow, Executive Director of Habitat MCTN.

Giving Tuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea:  to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Those who are interested in joining Habitat for Humanity’s Giving Tuesday initiative can visit the donation page to find ways to give back. For more details about the Giving Tuesday movement, visit the Giving Tuesday website.
