Legal Aid Society to host Free Legal Help Clinic at Operation Stand Down in Clarksville

Legal Aid SocietyClarksville, TN – Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands will be offering a free legal help clinic from 2:00pm-3:15pm Tuesday, December 17th, 2019, at Operation Stand Down Tennessee’s Clarksville campus, located at 400 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.

The clinic is by appointment only; people who want to meet with a lawyer should call 931.896.2184 to make an appointment.

Volunteer attorneys at the clinic will assist with a variety of civil legal issues, including powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, landlord/tenant issues, employment, debt collection, bankruptcy and public benefits (such as TennCare, SNAP and Families First).

Clients need to bring any paperwork that they would like an attorney to look over, the name and address of the person who they would like to be their power of attorney (if applicable), as well as proof of their own identity. Clients should arrive at their scheduled appointment time to ensure they can meet with an attorney.
