Washington, D.C. – Almost every moment of our lives is conducted in the digital sphere, from sending emails to paying rent. Implementing basic privacy safeguards, like allowing users to opt in to the collection of sensitive data, puts Americans in control of their information.

Protecting Life At All Stages
Americans have made it clear — taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund abortion giants like Planned Parenthood. Some of my colleagues are attempting to funnel taxpayer dollars to fund abortion via government funding bill, while others are setting a new, reprehensible standard for what left-leaning America is willing to condone in the name of soulless politicking.
Tennesseans want their representatives speaking up and on the Senate floor, and I advocated for safeguarding the sanctity of life at all stages.
Surveillance State
Xinjiang is an autonomous region located in the far west corner of China, but in 1949 the Communists increased their control and took over the daily lives of the Uyghur people. Beijing has forced over one million Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities into forced labor “re-education camps” notorious for torture and human rights abuses.
Despite this, tourists and corporate partners will once again flock to Beijing for the 2022 Olympic Games — even though they are fully aware that the Chinese government will track, record, and analyze their every move. On the Senate floor, I spoke out against the Chinese government’s actions and joined my colleagues in sending a letter to the Olympic committee urging them to ensure China observes human rights laws during the games.
