Clarksville Police release Preliminary Crash Investigation information on Five Car Accident on Warfield Boulevard

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Officers are still in the early stages of a crash investigation involving five vehicles on Warfield Boulevard at Rossview Road. Three vehicles were totally engulfed in fire, one vehicle was partially burned, and a fifth vehicle had some ash on it with minor damage.

The sequence of events began around 3:00pm today, Monday, December 16th, 2019, at the intersection of Warfield Boulevard and Rossview Road, when a woman in her 80s, driving a Honda Accord, collided with a Jeep Liberty and then a Honda Odyssey.

The Odyssey collided with an Infiniti forcing it into a Toyota Four Runner. At some point, a fire began which spread to four out of the five vehicles.

The fire was so intense that metal pieces burnt into the roadway.

There was no indication of braking by the vehicle driven by the woman in her 80s.

The woman in her 80s was taken by ambulance to Clarksville’s Tennova Healthcare and transferred by Lifeflight to a Nashville hospital in critical condition. There were two others transported with minor injuries. treated, and released.

Clarksville Police know there are differences from the original information but we were trying to keep the public updated as the situation evolved and, in turn, had some inaccuracies.

The lead investigator is Officer Chisenhall.
