Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) will be offering several free services to help residents cope with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
On Tuesday, December 24th, 2019, CTS is offering free transportation from the Downtown Transit Center to the Annual Warm Souls Christmas Celebration at the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Morgan University Center.
Warm Souls will be from 10:00am to 1:00pm, with doors opening at 9:30am. CTS trips to Warm Souls will be from 9:30am-11:30am, and return trips will begin at 12:20pm.
“This is a wonderful event organized every year by Radical Mission, and CTS wants to ensure that no one is unable to participate because of a lack of transportation,” said Paul Nelson, CTS director.
Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries partners with local churches, organizations, businesses and volunteers for Warm Souls, which reaches out to the community with a hot homemade meal, gently used clothing and toys, prayer and a friendly hand.
Free Rides Christmas Eve
CTS also will offer free rides to all passengers on December 24th to help with last-minute holiday shopping trips. Because of holiday hours, the transit center will close early on Tuesday, with all buses leaving the center at 4:00pm, with buses returning to the garage at 5:00pm.
