City of Clarksville to hold public meeting for comments on 2020-25 Consolidated Plan

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville will conduct a public meeting to receive public comments on how it plans to use resources provided by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.

The meeting, conducted by Clarksville’s Office of Housing and Community Development, will be at 6:00pm Wednesday, January 15th in the cafeteria at Burt Elementary School, 110 Bailey Street, Clarksville.

The Office is preparing the 2020-2025 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnership programs.

Citizen participation is essential to the City’s involvement in the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development programs. The meeting will serve as a planning tool to help address community development and housing needs. Topics to be discussed include affordable housing, public facilities, economic development and public services.

All citizens and organizations are invited to the public hearing to comment orally or in writing on the plans. The City of Clarksville will make reasonable accommodations and services necessary for sensory-impaired and disabled citizens at the public meeting.

Additionally, translation services may be offered upon request and availability. Persons requiring such accommodations/services should contact the Office of Housing and Community Development at 931.648.6133 at least three working days in advance of the meeting.
