Clarksville, TN – With the Ohio Valley Conference opener under its belt, Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team can now turn its collective attention to one of the oldest rivalries in the league when UT Martin visits as part of the second half of a Saturday afternoon doubleheader in the Dunn Center.
Clarksville, TN – VeinCare Centers of Tennessee, located in Clarksville, nurse practitioner Sandra French recently received the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing.
Prior to receiving her DNP degree, Sandra earned her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2007 and she is board certified as a family nurse practitioner and credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Clarksville Gas and Water Department announces Zachry Drive, Barge Point Road Water Outage, Road Closure Planned
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has planned a water outage on Sunday, January 5th, 2020 at 8:00am on Zachry Drive and Barge Point Road for water main repair and maintenance. The work may also cause low water pressure in the vicinity.
Nashville, TN – The Houston Oilers and Boston Patriots were charter members of the American Football League in 1960. In the league’s inaugural season, the Oilers swept both games, winning 24-10 in New England and 37-21 in Houston. The teams met 20 times as part of the AFL (1960-69), with the Patriots earning a 10-9-1 advantage.
Upon the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, the Oilers moved to the AFC Central Division, and the Patriots began play in the AFC East. They officially became the New England Patriots in 1971.
Clarksville, TN – City of Clarksville Purchasing Director Camille Thomas has begun a two-year term as president of the Tennessee Association of Public Purchasing (TAPP).
Thomas was elected, along with a slate of other officers, in October at the association’s Fall Conference in Pigeon Forge.

Resolutions? I don’t make them, because I can’t seem to keep them. I would guess you might be the same.
We all need to be better than we were yesterday, so moving forward, I just try to take it one day at a time. The older I get, the more I realize that if I just get the most out of each day, treating people better than before, pushing myself a little more, and motivating myself to step up my game, then it wears off on the ones I love and the people I meet.
