Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada – The Nashville Predators pick up a big road win against division rivals, the Winnipeg Jets, 1-0. Kyle Turris scored the only goal of the game for the Nashville victory.
Juuse Saros picks up the shut-out win for the Predators, stopping all 28 shots on goal.
Nashville picked up their second straight win under new head coach John Hynes and are playing with some new enthusiasm as they try to claw their way back into the playoff race. Currently, the Predators are just outside the wild card picture behind these very Jets.
Nashville is still without the services of Ryan Ellis, Colton Sissons, and Dante Fabbro who are sidelined with injuries. Austin Watson and Matt Irwin were scratched for today’s game.
Today’s game was a battle between two goalies with Connor Hellebuyck standing tall for the Jets, only allowing the Turris goal at 11:53 of the opening period.
Yakov Trenin dished the puck to Turris on a mini breakaway and Turris buried the one-timer for the winning goal.
The Predators will now head to Edmonton for a Tuesday game then return home on Thursday night to face the hated Anaheim Ducks at Bridgestone Arena.
