U.S. Representative Mark Green to hold Veterans Town Hall in Clarksville

U.S. house of RepresentativesClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, January 21st, 2020, U.S. Representative Mark Green will host a Veterans Town Hall from 5:00pm – 6:00pm CT at the William O. Beach Civic Hall in Clarksville.

“I am honored to host this important Veterans Town Hall. Each time I speak with our veterans I’m reminded of the reasons I came to Washington,” said Representative Mark Green.

The brave men and women who serve in our armed forces are the greatest among us, and I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure they are taken care of.”

“After a twenty-four year career with the U.S. Army, I understand the issues our veterans face. Their concerns will always be my top priority as their voice in Washington.” 

This event is open to the public, and the focus will be on veterans and hearing their questions and concerns.

As a graduate of West Point and Army Special Operations Flight Surgeon, Green has introduced several pieces of legislation to help veterans and their families during his first year in Congress, including the Protecting Gold Star Spouses Act and Spiritual Readiness Amendment to FY2020’s NDAA.

Additionally, Representative Green proudly cosponsored the Military Surviving Spouses Equity Act and the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019
