Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to host meeting on becoming a Teacher

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) is hosting an informational meeting open to the public on its innovative “grow your own” pathways to becoming a teacher.

Public Meeting

Representatives from CMCSS and partner agencies will share more information about the four teacher residency pathways available for the 2020-2021 school year: Early-Learning Teacher Residency in partnership with Austin Peay State University (APSU), Elementary-Middle Teacher Residency in partnership with APSU, Clarksville Teaching Fellows in partnership with Nashville Teacher Residency, and Lipscomb Teacher Residency in partnership with Lipscomb University.

“It’s about investing in your own community with an apprenticeship approach to developing teachers,” stated Dr. Sean Impeartrice, Chief Academic Officer for CMCSS.

The interest meeting will be held on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm at Central Services Gracey, 621 Gracey Avenue, Clarksville, Tennessee. Room locations will be posted on site.
