Adams exploded for a career-best 31-point effort at UT Martin, knocking down a career-best seven shots from beyond the arc, including five in the first half to pace the Govs to a 50-31 halftime lead. He led six Govs in double figures to allow the Govs to remain unbeaten in league play. At Southeast Missouri, he scored 11 points as one of three Govs in double figures.

For the week, he averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and a steal, hitting 56.5 percent (13-for-23) from the field, 60.0 percent (9-for-15) from three and 87.5 percent (7-for-8) at the free-throw line.

Adams’ fifth OVC Freshman of the Week honor equals Terry Taylor’s five from his Freshman of the Year campaign in 2017-18. No OVC player has earned more than five since 2016-17 (Asante Gist, Eastern Kentucky).

Adams and the Govs host Tennessee State and Belmont in the Dunn Center this weekend, looking to remain unbeaten in OVC play.
