Representative Mark Green visits 101st Airborne Soldiers at the United States-Mexico Border

 

U.S. house of RepresentativesWashington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mark Green visited soldiers from Fort Campbell’s own 101st Airborne Division 3rd Brigade Combat Team at the United States-Mexico border last Friday.

While in El Paso, Representative Green met leadership from the 3rd Brigade and fellow soldiers from the 7th District of Tennessee. He also toured various operations centers at Fort Bliss as well as sections of the U.S.-Mexico border where Rakkasans are stationed.

Clarksville Fire Rescue’s Steve Batten promoted to Deputy Fire Chief

 

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – Steve Batten has been promoted to Deputy Fire Chief, which puts him second in command and in charge of the operations of Clarksville Fire Rescue.

Batten’s career started in 1996 at Fire Rescue, where he excelled at every level and rose through the ranks of the department. Previously an assistant fire chief and commander of A Shift, Batten has spent the past 11 years as an officer, honing his leadership skills and fire ground knowledge.

“I look forward to working with my coworkers in this new role and helping to grow the department into the future,” Batten said.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 23/23 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (15-3, 5-1 SEC) will be in Hartford, CT, on Thursday night to take part in the Basketball Hall of Fame Revival Series vs. #3/5 UConn (16-1, 7-0 AAC) at XL Arena. Tipoff is slated for 6:00pm CT.

As part of the two-year series, UConn will host Tennessee this season, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Pat Summitt Foundation and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In the 2020-21 season, the Lady Vols will host the Huskies in Knoxville, with a portion of the proceeds again benefitting the Pat Summitt Foundation and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, as well as the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.

TBI issues AMBER Alert for four month old Raymond Lyons Jr. of Lebanon Tennessee

 

Tennessee Statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for Lebanon Police Department

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide AMBER Alert on behalf of the Lebanon Police Department for Raymond Lyons, Jr.

Raymond is a four-month-old black male with black hair, brown eyes, 18 inches tall, and 17 lbs. Raymond was last seen wearing a grey onesie with a zipper in the front. Raymond was taken by Erika Barksdale, a 29-year-old black female with brown hair, brown eyes, 5’5″ tall, and 165 lbs.

AAA says as Temperatures Drop across the Country, so has Gas Prices

 

AAATampa, FL – The national gas price average is $2.54, which is three cents cheaper than last week, a penny less than last month, yet 30-cents more than a year ago.

Gas prices edged cheaper in the last week as gasoline stocks grew, measuring at 258 million bbl – a stock level not recorded by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) in nearly a year.
