Clarksville Parks and Recreation now hiring lifeguards, cashiers for summer pool season

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for lifeguard and cashier positions for the 2020 summer pool season at the City’s four outdoor pools: Beachaven Swimming Pool, Bel-Aire Swimming Pool, Swan Lake Swimming Pool, and New Providence Swimming Pool.

Make this summer count! Earn $10.00 an hour, feel a sense of pride working in an important position, and make new friends among co-workers all while making a difference in your community as a lifeguard.

Lifeguard applicants must be at least 15 and able to pass a swim test that consists of swimming 300 yards continuously, treading water for two minutes without the use of arms or hands and completing a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

American Red Cross lifeguarding/CPR/AED certification and training are available.

Lifeguard course preparation is available beginning in February. Every Saturday there will be a certified Lifeguard Instructor on staff to work with candidates to achieve these skills.

Cashier positions are also available and begin at $8.25 an hour. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
