President Donald Trump takes action on Healthcare

 

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – Earlier today, Monday, March 9th, 2020, President Donald Trump took another groundbreaking action to put American patients back in charge of their healthcare.

The new rule will require ALL healthcare systems to provide Americans secure access and control of their own health records.

Clarksville Police release update on Circle K Armed Robbery Suspects

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On March 6th, 2020 around 2:00am, Clarksville Police responded to the Circle K at 523 Dover Road in reference to an Armed Robbery.  When officers arrived on scene, the clerk reported that two males wearing hoods entered the business and approached the front counter.

The logo on the sweatshirt worn by one of the suspects in the Circle K Armed Robbery video is called Civilized Exclusive by East Coast Trendsetters.

Clarksville Police are searching for Marquis Hall for Aggravated Assault

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, March 9th, 2020 around 12:47pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to Bel-Aire Park at 124 Marie Drive in reference to an Aggravated Assault.

When responding officers arrived on scene, they made contact with a 27 year old man who had sustained a gunshot wound to his hand and hip. Based on the investigation, there had been a verbal altercation between the victim and Hall. Marquis D. Hall was identified as the shooter.

Clarksville Police are requesting the public's help in finding Marquis D. Hall. Hall is wanted for Aggravated Assault.

Tennessee Department of Health reports Fourth Confirmed case of Coronavirus Tennessee

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) has confirmed one additional case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Middle Tennessee, bringing the state’s total number of confirmed cases to four.

The patient is an adult female in Middle Tennessee. TDH is working closely with local health officials to support  the ongoing investigations of COVID-19 cases. The overall risk to the public remains low as COVID-19 is not currently widespread in Tennessee or the United States.

Representative Mark Green Visits Hardin County Amid Severe Flooding in February

 

U.S. house of RepresentativesSavannah, TN – On Friday, March 6th, 2020, Representative Mark Green visited Savannah and Saltillo amid the recent catastrophic flooding from Tennessee River levels in February. The severe flooding left homes underwater, businesses interrupted, roads washed away, and crop land flooded in Hardin County and across the 7th District and the State of Tennessee.

This Week at APSU: Candlelight Ball auction to raise money for Austin Peay State University scholarships

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Charlie Daniels, the Country Music Hall of Famer known for “sawing on a fiddle and playing it hot,” helped reinvigorate that 400-year-old instrument with his 1979 hit, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” More than 40 years later, his influence continues to transform the music genre, and attendees at the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Candlelight Ball this spring will get a chance to own a piece of country music history when the school auctions off a signed Charlie Daniels fiddle.
