Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to hold Virtual 5K

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Whether you’re already active, looking to get off the couch, or just want to stay indoors, this newest Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department event is for you.

Beginning at 5:00pm on April 24th, 2020, registration will open for the first-ever Clarksville Parks and Recreation Virtual 5k. The event is designed to allow participants to choose between three varying distances. Participants can complete their run anywhere and anytime between April 24th, 2020 and May 24th, 2020.

Runners are encouraged to use Liberty Park or the Clarksville Greenway, as mile markers will be placed at those parks within the next week.

Contracting Professionals, Fort Campbell posturing for evolving COVID-19 requirements

 

U.S. Department of the ArmyJoint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, TX – Contracting professionals at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, are posturing to provide their mission partners immediate support as part of the whole-of-government effort in response to the COVID-19 Cornavirus pandemic.

Following the approval of additional forces to the Southern border by Defense Secretary Mark Esper at the end of March, leaders from the 922nd Contracting Battalion and 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell conducted a joint operational area circulation.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 460 new cases of Coronavirus in Tennessee, April 24th, 2020

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) on Friday, April 24th, 2020 reports that there have been 8,726 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee. That is an increase of 460 cases from Thursday’s 8,266. There have been 168 deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been two new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total number is now at 132. There has been two deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.

101st Airborne Division deploys Logistics Experts to aid COVID-19 effort

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell deployed about 10 Soldiers to aid in the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus relief effort in the northeast.

The Soldiers, logistics experts assigned to the 101st Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade, deployed from Fort Campbell to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. They follow several other groups of Fort Campbell Soldiers who have deployed in support of the COVID-19 Coronavirus response. Most recently, about 70 Soldiers from the 501st Area Support Medical Company deployed April 18th to Boston.
