The Community Care Fund kicks off Monday, May 18th, 2020 and continues until June 1st. Donations can be made by visiting liveunitedclarksville.org

One hundred percent of the proceeds will provide aid to CDE Lightband customers by reducing or paying in full their CDE Lightband electric bill. TVA will match every dollar locally raised up to $25,000 to help those in our community who are experiencing job loss and financial hardship.

“Our vision at the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region is a community where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability and healthy lives.” said Valerie Guzman.

CDE Lightband has seen the number of overdue customers drastically increase from an average of 300 households to 3,700 households as that number continues to rise daily. In an effort to support the Clarksville community, CDE Lightband employees are also participating, making donations through an internal campaign.

“As a public power provider, we are honored to join in this effort to help ease these unprecedented burdens on those we serve,” said Brian Taylor, General Manager for CDE Lightband. “The desire to improve our community through the reliable and affordable delivery of electric and broadband services is embedded in our mission and values.”

After June 1st, those seeking assistance with their electric bills can contact United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region at 931.647.4291.
