City of Clarksville to begin Phase 2 of Reopening   

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN –  Many City of Clarksville offices and departments will resume full staffing and increase public-facing operations on Monday, June 1st, 2020 relaxing more of the COVID-19 Emergency Operations plans that have been in effect since March 23rd, 2020.

“Our plan for a phased, orderly reopening of City Government continues,” Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts said Friday.

Temporary disruption of gas service will be necessary

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department will resume natural gas distribution system maintenance and service line upgrades in the Welchview subdivision in early June that began several months ago.

The work progress was curtailed due to extremely wet conditions and more recently, the limited operations in response to COVID-19 Coronavirus affected the spring work schedule.

Notice to the Public given by Montgomery County Commission

Tennessee Department of Health reports 406 new cases of Coronavirus in Tennessee, May 29th, 2020

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 22,085 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee as of Friday, May 29th, 2020. That is an increase of 406 cases from Thursday’s 21,679. There have been 360 deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

One more case of the COVID-19 Coronavirus has been reported in Montgomery County. The total is at 262. There has been three deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)Silver Spring, MD – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) took a new step to support the agency’s evaluation of diagnostic tests for COVID-19 Coronavirus, by providing a SARS-CoV-2 reference panel. 

Reference panels are an additional step to ensure the quality of the tests, validation of new assays, test calibration, and monitoring of assay performance.
