“Just a few moments ago, I hosted a very special call with two friends—Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed of the United Arab Emirates—where they agreed to finalize a historical peace agreement,” President Donald Trump announced.

APSU Scientist helps Tennessee Middle School launch high-altitude Balloon over 106,000 feet

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On a sticky August morning, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) professional mad scientist traveled to Gainsboro, Tennessee, to help Michael Vigeant’s middle school students launch a science balloon over 106,000 feet into the sky.

Clarksville Police asks public’s help in locating runaway Fabian Lloyd

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is requesting assistance locating a runaway juvenile. Fabian Lloyd, age 16, B/M, he is 6’3″ tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs.

He was last seen leaving his residence on foot around 1:57am on August 2nd, 2020. He is currently on probation and has an ankle monitor however the battery is dead.

Lloyd is known to hang out in the Lincoln Homes area.

U.S. House of RepresentativesWashington, D.C. – This week, U.S. Representative Mark Green (R-TN) introduced the bipartisan Federal Reserve Sunshine Act (H.R. 8007) with Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) to reinstate longstanding transparency provisions for the Federal Reserve.

Representative Mark Green said, “The CARES Act allows the Chairman of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors to conduct any board meeting without complying with the Government in the Sunshine Act, as long as it’s determined in writing that ‘unusual and exigent circumstances’ exist.”

Tennessee Department of Health reports 2,120 new cases of Coronavirus in Tennessee, August 13th, 2020

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 126,511 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee as of Thursday, August 13th, 2020. That is an increase of 2,120 cases from Wednesday’s 124,391. There have been 1,273 confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been FIFTY FIVE new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is at 1,986. There has been fifteen deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.

Clarksville Christian School Returns to Campus During COVID-19 Pandemic

 

Clarksville Christian SchoolClarksville, TN – The energy was high as Clarksville Christian School began the 2020-21 school year on August 12th, 2020.

Wednesday marked the first day students, faculty and staff have been back on campus together since the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic started this past spring. Pre-K through 12th grade students were present on campus to begin the new year.
