Strong Winds expected this evening for Clarksville-Montgomery County

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports gusty southerly winds expected across Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee through early this evening

South winds gusting 35 to 40 mph are expected to continue through 7:00pm this evening across most of Middle Tennessee. Look for winds to
begin relaxing shortly thereafter.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and break off small tree limbs. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The seventh-ranked Tennessee basketball team returns home for the first of two consecutive contests, when it takes on Alabama on Saturday night, January 2nd, 2021. The opening tip from Thompson-Boling Arena is slated for 5:00pm CT on ESPN2.

Fans can see Saturday’s game on ESPN2 or online through WatchESPN. WatchESPN can be accessed through the ESPN App, or online at espn.com/watch. Karl Ravech and Jimmy Dykes will have the call.

Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertlekamp describing the action.

TWRA reports 2021 Spring Turkey Quota Hunts Applications available now through January 13th

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The application period for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency 2021 Spring Turkey Quota Hunts is open through January 13th.

Applications are available and will be accepted at any TWRA license agent, TWRA regional office, or online at gooutdoorstennessee.com website. Applications can be accepted until 11:59pm CT on January 13th. Mailed applications will not be accepted.

Tennessee Titans game history against Houston Texans

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans-Houston Texans rivalry is in its 19th year since the expansion Texans began play and the AFC South was formed in 2002. In 37 games, the Titans are 20-17 against the Texans, including a 12-7 mark at Nissan Stadium and an 8-10 record at NRG Stadium.

In the last four seasons, the Titans and Texans have split the annual series. The home team took each game from 2016 to 2018 before the road teams won in 2019.
