As the budget reconciliation process moves over to the Senate, I remain resolved to work against wasteful spending and provide an aid package that benefits the American people.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The No. 20/21 Tennessee women’s basketball closed out the regular season with a dominant win over Auburn on Sunday, racing to an 88-54 victory in Thompson-Boling Arena on Senior Day.
 
With the triumph, Tennessee (15-6, 9-4 SEC) finished third in league play and locked up the No. 3 seed for next week’s SEC Tournament. It is UT’s highest seeding at the tourney since 2015, when the Big Orange carried a No. 2 tag into the event.

The Govs used another outstanding defensive effort and an incredible early rushing performance by Brian Snead to fight through a first-half downpour and take down Tennessee State in a 27-20 Ohio Valley Conference victory from Fortera Stadium.

Flash Flood Warning in effect for Clarksville-Montgomery County

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County and the surrounding area until 10:00pm CT.

At 5:55pm CT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under Tornado Watch until 10:00pm

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County and the surrounding area.

At 6:23pm CT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles south of Clarksville, moving east at 55 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include: Springfield, Ashland City, Clarksville, Coopertown, Pleasant View, Adams, Cedar Hill, Cheatham Dam and Cunningham.
