Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Dr. Jessica Fripp, assistant professor of Psychological Science and Counseling, received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education in Counseling & Development from Winthrop University (S.C.).

She obtained her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of South Carolina.

#20/21 Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball beats Missouri, 78-73

 

UT Lady VolsColumbia, MO – Senior Rennia Davis scored all 26 of her points in the second half, including 20 in the fourth-quarter, leading No. 20/21 Tennessee women’s basketball team to a 78-73 win over Missouri at Mizzou Arena on Thursday night.
 
Junior Rae Burrell was also a factor for UT (14-6, 8-4 SEC), notching 23 points and eight rebounds. Redshirt junior Jordan Walker was UT’s top rebounder, pulling down 10 boards on the night.
 
Missouri (8-10, 4-9 SEC) was led by Haley Troup and Aijha Blackwell with 16 points each. Shannon Dufficy and Shug Dickson were also in double figures with 10 points apiece.

Downtown Commons extends Bid for Vendor Space

The Downtown Commons is seeking a local eatery to move into our on-site vendor space. The concession space at the Downtown Commons is about 350 square feet with a storage room approximately 130 square feet.

Representative Mark Green’s Conscience Protection Amendments rejected by Democrats

 

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – On Monday, February 24th, 2021, U.S. Representative Mark Green offered two key amendments to Democrats’ radical “Equality Act” that Democrats rejected out of hand in their markup of the bill.

The amendments would have broadened protections for women and medical providers in a bill that otherwise eliminates conscience protections for Americans of faith.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 1,492 new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee, February 25th, 2021

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 646,494 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus as of Thursday, February 25th, 2021. That is an increase of 1,492 cases from Wednesday’s 645,002. There have been 9,098 (+38) confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been   S I X T Y   T W O   new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is 17,269. Nine of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There have been 209 (+2) deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus. There were 573 tests given with 50 positive results for a 8.7 percent positive.
