APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – After a scoreless first half, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) soccer team scored the first goal of the match when Morgan Drawdy found the back of the net in the 50th minute, but Eastern Illinois tied the match in the 72nd minute and after two overtime periods the Govs and Panthers played to a 1-1 draw on Senior Day, Friday, at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

Austin Peay State University Women’s Tennis falls to Jacksonville State, 4-3

 

APSU Women's TennisClarksville, TNFabienne Schmidt and Danielle Morris improved to a perfect 7-0 in doubles play this season, but the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s tennis dropped the doubles point and that would wind up being the difference as the Govs fell to Jacksonville State, 4-3, in their Ohio Valley Conference opener, Friday, at the Governors Tennis Courts.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office discovers Drug Overdose, Recovers Stolen Vehicle

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at approximately 3:45am deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) discovered a stolen Lincoln Navigator on Ross Lane.

The occupant was found unconscious in the vehicle. Despite living saving measures by Deputies and EMS, the individual did not survive.

After speaking with neighbors in the area, deputies discovered a second unconscious individual.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 724 new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee, March 26th, 2021

Nashville, TN – On Friday, March 26th, 2021, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 670,431 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus. That is an increase of 724 cases from Thursday’s 669,707. There have been 9,494 (+14) confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been   F I F T Y   S E V E N   new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is 18,221. Thirteen of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There have been 217 deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus. There were 543 tests given with 39 positive results for a 7.2 percent positive.
