Marsha Blackburn, Tammy Duckworth Lead Bipartisan Legislation to Improve Lives of People with Limb Loss

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) introduced bicameral, bipartisan legislation along with Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) to improve health outcomes for individuals living with limb loss or limb differences. The legislation is cosponsored by Representatives G. K. Butterfield (D-N.C.) and Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.).

“Americans living with limb loss and limb differences should have access to the appropriate prosthetics,” said Senator Blackburn. “We need a better understanding of how many Americans lack access to prosthetics and how it affects their return to the workforce. I’m glad to have Senator Duckworth along with Representatives Butterfield and Guthrie join me in introducing this bipartisan legislation.”

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices fall One Cent on Average

 

AAANashville, TN – For the second time this year, the Tennessee Gas Price average saw a week over week decrease – down a penny compared to last week. 

The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $2.68 which is 4 cents more than one month ago and $1.05 more than one year ago.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 1,007 new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee, April 13th, 2021

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 684,161 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus as of Monday, April 13th, 2021. That is an increase of 1,007 cases from Monday’s 683,154. There have been 9,648 (+5) confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

FIFTY NINE  new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Montgomery County. The total is 18,939. Eighteen of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There have been 223 deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus. There were 408 tests given with 52 positive results for a 12.7 percent positive.
