APSU Women’s Tennis defeats Southeast Missouri 4-3 to win second straight OVC Championship

 

APSU Women's TennisEvansville, IN – After dropping the doubles point and trailing 3-1 halfway through singles play, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s tennis team won the final three singles matches of the afternoon to complete the comeback and beat top-seeded Southeast Missouri, 4-3, to clinch the Governors second-straight Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Tennis Championship, Sunday, at the Wesselman Tennis Center.

APSU Men’s Golf improve on back nine at OVC Championship

This was true for the Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s golf team’s opening round showing at the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championships, and will hopefully be true of the next two days for the Govs as well as they try to maneuver up the leaderboard.

As part of the agency’s regulatory processes for reviewing all manufacturing facilities, the FDA recently completed an inspection of Emergent BioSolutions, a proposed manufacturing facility for the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine.

Nashville Zoo tickets for Brew at the Zoo now on sale

 

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Animals, entertainment, local food trucks, and more than 80 craft beers are all on tap for Nashville Zoo’s annual Brew at the Zoo set for Friday, June 4th from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

Brew at the Zoo allows guests the opportunity to wander the Zoo trails while sampling beer and hard soda from more than 45 craft breweries from around the country. Many of the Zoo’s animal exhibits will be open until sundown with keepers available to answer guests’ questions. Other available amenities include dinner from food truck favorites, live music, and special animal encounters.

First Chronic Wasting Disease Testing Facility Opens in Tennessee

 

Tennessee Department of AgricultureNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Kord Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory has the state’s first Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) testing facility. The CWD testing unit is operational and fully accredited by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the organization that develops and publishes international standards.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports carjacking suspect Dustin Williams in Custody

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has taken Dustin Williams into custody. The second stolen vehicle (Green Camero) has also been recovered.

MCSO deputies began searching for a carjacking suspect and vehicle Saturday, April 24th, 2021. The incident occurred at approximately 8:15am on North Hinton Road. The stolen vehicle was a red 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
