APSU Women's VolleyballMartin, TN – Playing in the first-ever Ohio Valley Conference Beach Volleyball Championship, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) beach volleyball team beat No. 5 seed Jacksonville State, 3-2, in the first round before upsetting top-seeded Morehead State, 3-2, in the quarterfinals, Thursday, at the Skyhawk Beach Volleyball Complex.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 685 new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee, April 29th, 2021

Nashville, TN – On Thursday, April 29th, 2021, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 699,319 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus. That is an increase of 685 cases from Wednesday’s 698,634. There have been 9,786 (+13) confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been THIRTY ONE new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is 20,049. Nine of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There have been 224 deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus. There were 290 tests given with 29 positive results for a 10.0 percent positive.

Montgomery County announces Rock blasting at Multipurpose Event Center site will begin May 4th

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeClarksville-Montgomery County, TN – Rock blasting will begin on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021, and be staged in the late morning and early afternoon each weekday at the Montgomery County multipurpose event center site.

The blasting will be done to prepare the site between First Street and Second Street and Main Street and College Street for construction of the event center, which is scheduled to be finished at the end of 2022. The blasting is expected to be finished by the end of June.
