Opening Day kicks off a 12-game, 13-day double homestand at First Horizon Park.

FDA Authorizes Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for Emergency Use in Adolescents

 

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)Silver Spring, MD – Today, May 10th, 2021,  the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expanded the emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) to include adolescents 12 through 15 years of age.

Montgomery County Commission to fill District 6 vacant seat on June 14th

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners will act to fill the vacant seat of the county commissioner in District 6 at the formal commission meeting on Monday, June 14th, at 6:00pm.

The seat is vacant due to the passing of Commissioner Arnold Hodges on April 18th, 2021. The meeting will be held in the commission chambers on the third floor of the County Historic Courthouse, 1 Millennium Plaza, Clarksville, Tennessee.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 990 new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee, May 10th, 2021

Nashville, TN – On Monday, May 10th, 2021, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 704,780 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus. That is an increase of 990 cases from Friday’s 703,790. There have been 9,864 (+19) confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been SIXTY new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is 20,315. Six of the new cases reported Saturday and Sunday were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. Monday’s number was not published by the Tennessee Department of Health. There have been 227 (+3) deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.  Monday’s numbers to calculate percent positive have not been released.

It should be an embarrassment to the City of Clarksville that we have only 8 public tennis courts!  Cities half the population of ours have much better and more plentiful tennis facilities.
