APSU Women's TennisTempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its regional award winners, Monday, with Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s tennis winning the Ohio Valley Region Community Service Award and the men’s program receiving the Community Service Award Honorable Mention.

Senator Marsha Blackburn reintroduces the Stop COVID Act to Hold China Accountable for Spreading COVID-19

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) has reintroduced the Stop China-Originated Viral Infectious Diseases (Stop COVID) Act to ensure Beijing faces consequences for its role in spreading the novel coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China.

The Stop COVID Act will empower Americans to sue China in U.S. court and seek compensation for the devastating harm the deadly virus has caused to the economy and human life.

“The Chinese Communist Party must face the consequences for unleashing the virus upon the world over a year ago,” said Senator Blackburn.

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Health Department will host a two-day COVID-19 Coronavirus vaccine event at Northeast Elementary School, located at 3705 Trenton Road, on June 16th and June 17th, 2021 from 9:00am to noon.

The health department also continues to provide vaccinations every weekday through July 30th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Moore Magnet Elementary School, located at 1350 Madison Street.

AAA reports Crude Oil climbs to Highest Price in 3 Years

 

AAAWashington, D.C. – At $70.00/bbl, crude oil has increased to its highest price since October 2018 and is now $23/bbl more expensive than it was this past January.

Crude prices have steadily climbed this year along with optimism for the COVID-19 Coronavirus vaccine and the promising impact it will have on global gasoline demand.

Fort Donelson National Battlefield Visitor Center Rehabilitation Project moves forward

 

US National Park ServiceDover, TN – The National Park Service has announced the solicitation for proposals on the rehabilitation of the Fort Donelson National Battlefield Visitor Center project through open competition of the System for Award Management (SAM)contracting system.

The solicitation for proposals is a significant step forward toward the award of a contract and the start of the much-anticipated project.

“We are very pleased to see the Fort Donelson Visitor Center project go out for proposals from potential contractors,” Brian McCutchen, park superintendent said.
