Marsha Blackburn Report: Calling For Transparency In Chattanooga Migrant Facilities

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – Hearing about child abuse at a Chattanooga migrant facility is a heartbreaking reminder of the reality of President Joe Biden’s border crisis. This incident must be thoroughly investigated. Until we secure our southern border, every town is a border town and every state is a border state.

Defending The United States Flag

Burning the flag is a direct affront to the values of our democratic republic. In Tennessee, we know all too well that the Stars and Stripes represent more than just patriotism; the flag is an unwavering beacon of valor, vigilance, and justice. This week, I proposed a constitutional amendment to ensure that these sacred ideals are preserved.

NASA’s DAVINCI+ Probe to investigate Venus’ atmosphere

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space AdministrationGreenbelt, MD – Although Earth and Venus are similar in size and location, they are very different worlds today. While Earth has oceans of water and abundant life, Venus is dry and fiercely inhospitable. Although it’s somewhat closer to the Sun — about 70 percent of Earth’s distance — Venus is much hotter, with temperatures at the surface high enough to melt lead.

The scorched landscape is obscured by clouds of sulfuric acid, and it is smothered by a thick atmosphere of mostly carbon dioxide at over 90 times the pressure of Earth’s, which causes the air to behave more like a fluid than a gas near its surface.

DAVINCI+ will send a meter-diameter probe to brave the high temperatures and pressures near Venus’ surface to explore the atmosphere from above the clouds to near the surface of a terrain that may have been a past a continent. (NASA GSFC visualization by CI Labs Michael Lentz and others)
