Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has closed a section of Academy Avenue from Madison Street to Cooper Place for new natural gas line installation.
Traffic will be detoured to Madison Street and Union Street. Motorists are asked to slow down and be alert to utility workers and their equipment when approaching the work zone.
The new natural gas line installation is anticipated to be finished and the road reopened by approximately 6:00pm.
