Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has turned off water service on College Street from Red River Street to Sallee Drive for fire hydrant replacement. Low water pressure may also affect the vicinity during the work.
The outer southbound lane on College Street will be closed from Kraft Street to Red River Street. Traffic will be shifted to the inside southbound lane causing traffic congestion and delays during the work.
Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to workers and their equipment when approaching the work zone or to choose an alternate travel route when possible.
The fire hydrant replacement work is anticipated to be finished, water service restored and the lane reopened by approximately 11:00pm.
