Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fright on Franklin set for October 26th

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation has partnered with Altra Federal Credit Union for the 11th annual Fright on Franklin from 3:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, October 26th, 2019 in Downtown Clarksville.

Fright on Franklin is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests, and more in historic downtown Clarksville. Follow the screams (of delight) to an afternoon and evening of fun Halloween-themed activities.

A costume contest will be staged at the City Hall/US Bank parking lot. Prizes will be awarded for “Best Costume” in each age group and “Best Group.” Pre-registration is required online at www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com through October 25th. The contest is free to enter.

Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion Soldiers to complete a 101-mile rendezvous Bike Ride

 

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – On September 27th, 2019, wounded, ill and injured Soldiers will participate in a 101-mile bike ride, “Where Heroes Rendezvous,” on Fort Campbell and in the surrounding communities.

More than 70 riders, including wounded, ill or injured Soldiers assigned to the Fort Campbell, Fort Stewart, Georgia, and Fort Benning, Georgia Warrior Transition Battalions, as well as cadre, veterans and volunteers will ride, sharing their support of WTB Soldiers along the route. The community can help cheer for riders as they ride past along the route.

Austin Peay State University hosts area high schools for JROTC Raider Challenge competition, Saturday

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Governors Guard ROTC cadets this weekend will host about 90 cadets from high schools from throughout the area in the Raider Challenge competition. The competition is this Saturday, September 21st, 2019 from 7:00am until 4:00pm at the APSU Clarksville campus.

Gateway Chamber Orchestra to perform at APSU George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, September 29th

Downtown @ Sundown features AC/DC Tribute Band “Thunderstruck” this Friday

 

2019 Downtown Commons’ Downtown @ Sundown Concert SeriesMontgomery County, TN – On Friday, September 20th, 2019, the Downtown Commons’ Downtown @ Sundown Concert series will take place from 7:00pm-10:00pm. The acoustic, southern rock group, The Great Divide will perform at 7:00pm, with an AC/DC Tribute band, Thunderstruck, taking the stage at 8:00pm.

Join us for a night of Free music and fun. Food and activity vendors will be on hand and other food is also available in several of the downtown restaurants.
