Fort Campbell, KY – On Thursday, August 22nd, 2019, 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasan,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) soldiers will welcome a new commander at 9:00am.

Col. John Cogbill, who has commanded the unit for two years, will pass the brigade colors to Col. Brandon Teague in a ceremony on the division parade field at Fort Campbell.

Fort Campbell Celebrates Independence Day

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell’s office of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) once again helped area families celebrate July 4th in style, with the return of its ever-popular Independence Week Carnival, July 2nd–6th, which includes a special concert and fireworks display on Independence day.

The event, which is free and open to the public, was staged on Fort Campbell’s Division Parade Field. Thousands were in attendance on July 4th, a day that saw storms early, but clear weather for the evening’s concerts and fireworks.

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – On Thursday, July 4th, 2019, Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will host an Independence Day “Salute to the Nation” consisting of a special ceremony, concerts and a fireworks display. The event and activities are free to enter and open to the public.

Festivities commence at 1:00pm on the Division Parade Field located at 47th Street and Desert Storm Avenue, with a carnival running until midnight. The 101st Airborne Division Band will open the evening of music at 5:00pm, followed by a welcome ceremony at 6:00pm.

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Soldiers and civilians of the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell are excited to host Family members, community members, veterans and distinguished guests on Fort Campbell in celebration of our annual “Week of the Eagles” events, May 17th-23rd, 2019. This year’s WOE celebration will also include “Military Survivor Appreciation Week” and Retiree Appreciation Day.

Come see why Fort Campbell is the installation of choice for Army Soldiers, Families, civilians and veterans. Events are free and open to the public. Non-military ID card holders will need to follow normal gate entry procedures.

Fort Campbell Soldiers and Families to Receive Christmas Trees from Trees for Troops Program

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Active Duty Soldiers and their families will receive a special holiday delivery from FedEx on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017. FedEx Freight will deliver more than 300 live Christmas trees to help service members and their families celebrate the holidays.

Fort Campbell Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers and the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, will host the 2017 Trees For Troops initiative. Trees will be available at the Division Parade Field parking lot on a first come first served basis from 9:30am to 1:30pm for junior enlisted and 2:00pm to 4:30pm for any Active Duty Soldiers.

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers, Families and friends of 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment “Strike Fear,” assigned to 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, and attached to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade, 101st Abn. Div., gathered, June 21st, at the division parade field for a change of command ceremony.

During the ceremony, Lt. Col. James C. Reese, outgoing commander, relinquished command of the Strike Fear Battalion to Lt. Col. Ryan L. Schrock, incoming commander.

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers of the 716th Military Police Battalion “Peacekeepers,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade, 101st Abn. Div., participated in a change of command ceremony, June 15th, at the division parade field, here.

During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Michael A. Johnston, the outgoing commander, relinquished command of the 716th MP Bn, which is assigned to the 16th MP Bde., on Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Lt. Col. S. Joel Schuldt, the incoming commander.

During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Leevaine Williams Jr., the outgoing battalion commander, relinquished command of the Peacekeepers to Lt. Col. Michael Johnston, the incoming commander.
