American Heart Association responds to alarming drop in 9-1-1 calls fueled by COVID-19 fears

 

American Heart AssociationNashville, TN – As COVID-19 Coronavirus cases continue to increase and strain emergency departments nationwide, a recent U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) suggests ER visits in April were down 42 percent compared to the same period last year.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – A distraught man was saved from harming himself and others when Clarksville Police Officers worked together to diffuse the situation and prevent potential serious injury or death.

It was around 2:15pm, Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 when Clarksville Police Officers were called to the bridge at 101st Parkway and Fort Campbell Boulevard. There were multiple calls to 911 about a man in his late 30s sitting, dangling his feet over the cement barrier of the bridge and a woman was standing next to him.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Around 5:14pm, on Sunday, January 28th, 2018, Clarksville Police reports that 911 received multiple calls which ranged from suspicious person loading a gun, to shots fired, to an active shooters. The emergency room went on lockdown.

Clarksville Police responded, combed the grounds of the hospital, found no suspicious person, any evidence of shots being fired or an active shooter.

Clarksville Police Department reports Seven Men indicted for Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot shooting

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On April 23rd, 2017, Clarksville Police Officers responded to 911 calls related to a shooting originating at the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot on Whitfield Boulevard.

After an exhaustive investigation, numerous man hours expended interviewing individuals, processing crime scenes, and sorting through statements and evidence, the information was presented to the grand jury for consideration.

As a result, the May Montgomery County Grand Jury, held May 1st and 2nd, returned indictments on 7 men with 16 charges each, in conjunction with the shooting originating at the Walmart Neighborhood Market, Whitfield Boulevard, resulting in the death of Jalen Johnson.

Clarksville Police arrest Suspect in Stabbing Incident on Gracey Avenue

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 at approximately 5:55pm, Clarksville Police Officers were advised by staff at the Tennova Emergency Room that an adult male victim showed up at the hospital with a stab wound and was uncooperative with revealing information as to where the incident occurred or possible suspect(s).

Dispatch was able to determine that at least two 911 calls had come in about a possible domestic with injuries requiring an ambulance at the 700 block of Gracey Avenue.

Clarksville Police Department reports Druski’s Bar and Lounge has Business Permit Revoked

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – With the After Hours Establishments City Ordinance (Ordinance 41-2014-15) in place to regulate BYOB Clubs, the Clarksville Police Department’s Captain David Crockarell, personnel in District 1, and other City Representatives were able to provide evidence to the After Hours Establishments Board to revoke Druski’s Bar and Lounge’s business permit.

BYOB Clubs or After- hours establishments allow customers and patrons to bring beer, wine, or other alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption which are purchased or obtained off the premises.

Druski’s Bar and Lounge has Business Permit revoked after multiple 911 calls to the establishment and other violations.

Clarksville Police Department Winter Storm road conditions update for Thursday, March 5th

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Crashes remain very low today with only one reported in the city in the last six hours. Motorist assists, however, have skyrocketed this morning with fifteen calls to E911 already.

Officers estimate there have been at least twenty more self-initiated assists when officers rolled up on stuck motorists. Many people are also making requests for welfare checks on friends and relatives within the city, especially for the elderly and handicapped, and some were officer responses to 911 hangup calls.

Road conditions remain hazardous for most of Clarksville Montgomery County.

Clarksville Police reports man shot inside Private Club

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On April 28th, 2012, around 4:13am, the 911 center received multiple calls about a man being shot inside a private club at 1148 College Street.

When officers arrived on scene, there was a 27 year old man laying on the floor near the front entrance of the business. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the back.
