Clarksville Park and Recreation’s Fright on Franklin provides Halloween Family Fun

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s annual Fright on Franklin was a huge success, with thousands coming out to enjoy great weather, cute costumes and seemingly endless buckets of candy.

This year’s activities were rescheduled for Sunday, which turned out to be a great move, as areas of Clarksville were devastated by strong winds that moved through Montgomery County Saturday afternoon.

About 70 tents were lined up along Franklin Street, Public Square, First Street and Strawberry Alley, from which costumed volunteers from local businesses and organizations handed out treats from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission Updates Fishing Regulations

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC) approved updates to the state’s fishing regulations at its September meeting which concluded Friday at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s Region II Ray Bell Building.

The changes came to the commercial fishing, sport fishing regulations, and bait regulations for 2020-22.       

In addition to the fishing regulations, the Fisheries Division announced its 2019 awards. Eric Ganus, who coordinates the agency’s statewide commercial fish, turtle, and mussel programs, was named Fisheries Biologist of the Year. Tim Williams was named Fisheries Technician of the Year and serves as the senior technician at Buffalo Springs Hatchery, the agency’s largest trout hatchery which is located in Rutledge.

Mid South Softball Association to hold signups today at Governors Square Mall

 

Mid South Softball AssociationClarksville, TN – On February 6th, 2016 the Mid South Softball Association will be holding signups inside Governors Square Mall at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Ages are from 5-6 year old T-Ball through 23U Fastpitch Women’s League.

Mid South Softball Association features top level coaching, training and officiating. It is affiliated with the USSSA. The registration fee is $75.00.

Mid South Softball Association games will be played at RichEllen Park.

Clarksville Police requests assistance Identifying Shoplifting Suspects

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Howard Gillespie is trying to identify two suspects (1 white female and 1 white male) involved in multiple Shoplifting incidents and is requesting public assistance.

On January 24th, 2016 at 3:14pm, CPD Officers responded to a Theft of Property Shoplifting at Academy Sports, located at 130 South Hampton Place, that occurred between 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
