Music City Pickers Live in Franklin Kicks Off Inaugural Night With Ricky Skaggs

 

Music City PickersFranklin, TN – Music City Pickers Live (www.musiccitypickerslive.com) is a new series that will be presenting concerts weekly at The Little Brick Theater at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee starting December 1st, 2016. Their inaugural concert starring Ricky Skaggs was held November 3rd, 2016.

Every Thursday night Music City Pickers will feature up-and-coming talent and hit-makers in two live shows, one running from 6:00pm-7:30pm, then another from 8:30pm-10:00pm. The recently renovated Little Brick Theater has fine acoustics. It is an intimate space ideal for listening to the songs and stories behind the music.

Beatles 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert at The Renaissance Center

 

The Beatles are coming to Dickson! The WannaBeatles that is.

The Renaissance CenterDickson, TN – In the wake of the London Olympics and all things British, The Renaissance Center will celebrate one of Great Britain’s most beloved exports, The Beatles, as the 2012 calendar marks the 50 Year Anniversary of the Beatles!

Joining in on the fun are The WannaBeatles, one of the best Beatles tribute bands in the country, for a concert and Beatles-related activities scheduled for Saturday, August 25th, 7:00pm. Pre-concert activities include several musical acts in the center’s rotunda and a showing of Laser Beatles in the Cybersphere Digital Theatre.

On August 28th 2010, the Fort Donelson National Battlefield hosted “The Civil War Singers” from the Dover Community Theatre for their final performance of the Summer. The concert featured a medley of songs by Stephen Foster, the author of some of the most popular American songs of all time.

This is the Civil War Singers second season of performances at the Fort Donelson National Battlefield. The Dover Community Theater is a part of the Stewart County Arts and Humanities Council.  The group is directed by Dan Dill. Singing that evening was Don Bailey, Joanna Bailey, Judy Birney, Emily Dill, Dan Griggs, EvaLinda Hays, Katharine Hussey, Adam Janes, Mary Ann Jordan, Larrah Maney, J.R. Moore, Denise Moore, Vicki Morton, Carolyn Page, Walter Page, Jimmy Settle, Nellie Settle, Jackie Starcher, Dane Reynolds, Dee Reynolds, and Clifford Wooten.

Country Market reopens in South Montgomery County Community

 

Marion Market returns!

Marion Market with Momma's KitchenOn Saturday, June 10th, Marion Market with Momma’s Kitchen had their grand opening. The new owners, Tom and Darlene Davis, along with family and friends, worked together for over three months to get the place ready to re-open. “It took alot of long hours and work to get the store ready to open,” said Darlene.

The store is located at 5933 Marion Road in Cunningham, just south of Indian Creek road, and carries all the items you would expect of a market. They have milk and bread, sodas, snacks, baking supplies, beauty aids, etc. The market will also carry hardware items. “We are trying to stock items people need to save them a trip into town,” Darlene said. “You can think of us as your country Wal-Mart.”
