Clarksville, TN – On Friday, August 28th, 2020, members of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team made a special stop in Selma, Alabama, to walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

An intrigued crowd of on-lookers filed into the Dunn Center on at 11:00am to hear White and Harrison lay out their vision for the future of the department under the stewardship of the former Duke associate athletics director.
“This really is an amazing time for Austin Peay State University athletics and it’s a wonderful time to be a Gov,” White said. “I would go so far as to say it’s been a revolution, not just an evolution.
State’s top 88 football seniors to play December 8th at APSU’s Fortera Stadium
Clarksville, TN – The 2017 Toyota East-West Football All-Star Classic will be held in Clarksville, Tennessee at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium on Friday, December 8th, 2017.
The All-Star Classic is organized by the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (TACA) and is made up of the state’s top 88 senior football players who are selected from more than 400 nominations.
Visitor Spending Expected to Total $2.5 Million
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County is poised to welcome nearly 3,000 guests next week for two divisions of the Amateur Athletic Union’s Boy’s 10-and-Under National Basketball Championships.
Since 1999, the city has hosted dozens of regional and national AAU basketball events. This year, 53 teams from 16 states including Utah, New York, Texas, New Jersey, Michigan, Maryland, Louisiana, Indiana and most states bordering Tennessee, will make their way to Clarksville for championship play.

After 27 years on the sidelines, Dave Loos has called it a career as Austin Peay men’s basketball coach, bringing to an end a tenure marked by integrity, ingenuity and achievement.
“The takeaway for me today is how proud I am of the things we accomplished,” Loos said during Monday’s press conference. “The thing I’m celebrating is that we helped make a lot of young people better. We helped them better themselves in the classroom. The game-changer is a college degree, and that’s the thing we really emphasized—getting the diploma and growing as a person.”
Clarksville, TN – With a little luck and a lot of community support, local tourism officials are hoping Clarksville will host the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) state football championships beginning in 2017.
Visit Clarksville and Austin Peay State University athletic department officials hosted a site visit for seven TSSAA staff earlier in September to show just what Clarksville has to offer.

Clarksville, TN – With every sport on Austin Peay’s campus either in season, in training or making their preseason preparations, Austin Peay student-athletes found time to make a difference with the Vanderbilt’s Children Hospital a few weeks ago, raising nearly $2,500 for the Nashville institution through the university’s annual Dance Marathon.
