Abby Anderson, Dennis Merriweather and Ella Baggett Among Six to Sign at Clarksville High School on National Signing Day

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – The cafeteria at Clarksville High School was filled with people celebrating the six athletes preparing to sign their letters of intent on National Signing Day. Smiling and wearing gear from their future schools, the six athletes from three different sports were Abby Anderson, Dennis Merriweather, Mason Gasaway, Ella Baggett, Autumn Copeland and Justis Bailey.

Abby Anderson is the first Lady Wildcat volleyball player to sign a letter a intent to a university. Anderson committed to King University in Bristol, Tennessee. She was a decorated four year starter at Clarksville High. In addition to being chosen to this season’s Region 5 All Tournament Team, she was named to the All District Team for the second time.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats Soccer dispatches Henry County Lady Patriots in District 10-AAA matchup 8-0

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Scoring two goals in the first three minutes, September 16th at Hilda J. Richardson Athletic Field, Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team was never threaten in their District 10-AAA match versus Henry County High School in dispatching the Lady Patriots 8-0.

Fans hadn’t even settled into their seats when Clarksville High (10-0-3, 4-0-0 District 10-AAA) got onto the board with their first goal, as just 49 seconds into the match. Salera Jordan put in a rebound of a shot by Ella Baggett for the quick 1-0 lead.

Clarksville High Soccer School advances to Region 5-AAA Finals with 7-1 win over Beech

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team exploded for five second-half goals in its Region 5-AAA tournament semifinal match, October 21st at Hilda J. Richardson Field, versus Beech High School to pull away for a 7-1 victory.

With the win, Clarksville High (18-2-2) advances to the 5-AAA tournament finals, October 23rd, where they will face Hendersonville High School (16-5-0) — who defeated Rossview High School in the other semifinal, 2-0.

Clarksville High Soccer finishes regular season with 10-0 win over Springfield

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls soccer team sent its five seniors out in grand fashion, October 8th at Hilda J. Richardson Field on Senior Night, as the Lady Wildcats exploded for seven goals in a span of 13 minutes in the first half on its way to a 10-0 District 10-AAA victory over Springfield High School.

The 10 goals tied a season high for Clarksville High (14-2-2, 7-0-0 District 10-AAA), with the Lady Wildcats also scoring 10 goals against Northwest High School on September 3rd.

Clarksville High Soccer pulls away from Rossview High School with second-half scoring flurry

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsRossview High School HawksClarksville, TN – Clarksville High’s girls soccer team scored three goals in a span of seven minutes in the second half, September 19th at Hilda J. Richardson Field, to pull away from Rossview High School for a 5-0 District 10-AAA victory.

Leading 2-0 on two first half goals by junior Ella Baggett, Clarksville High (8-2-0, 4-0-0 District 10-AAA) took any chance of a comeback by the Lady Hawks off the board with three quick goals in the 58th, 63rd and 65th minutes to go up 5-0.
