Nashville Predators end home losing streak by defeating the Arizona Coyotes 5-2
Vinnie Hinostroza took a pass from Alex Goligoski in the slot and flipped a shot over the shoulder of Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne at 16:59 of the opening frame, for the early 1-0 lead. This after the Predators dominated play from the outset but couldn’t score. Nashville Predators fall at home to the Dallas Stars 3-1
On a night that honored former Predator Jordin Tootoo, the Predators were unable to crack the Dallas defense, specifically the goaltending of their back up goalie, Anton Khudobin. The first goal of the night was scored by Calle Jarnkrok at 9:35 of the first period, who ripped a shot from the circle past Khudobin for the early 1-0 lead. Nashville Predators beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-0
Nashville used a stiff defense tonight and a brick wall in net, Pekka Rinne, to thwart the Leafs. After a scoreless first period, Mattias Ekholm got the Predators on the board at 4:08 of the second period, hammering a slap shot from the point and the power play goal gave Nashville the 1-0 lead. Craig Smith and Kevin Fiala had the assists. Nashville Predators fall to the Detroit Red Wings in OT 4-3
Detroit played a very aggressive game tonight while the Predators put on a lazy performance, leaning on their All-Star goaltender Pekka Rinne for most of the night. The Red Wings dominated the first ten minutes of the game while Nashville had no shots on goal, but because of Rinne, they remained in the contest. Nashville Predators defeat the Vancouver Canucks in overtime thriller 4-3
It was a bit of sweet revenge for the Predators after the beatdown they suffered in Vancouver last week. Nashville is still working their way through the injury bug with Viktor Arvidsson and P.K Subban still unavailable. Nashville Predators lose to St. Louis Blues 6-2
It was expected to be a tough night for Nashville after they defeated St. Louis in Nashville on Wednesday night, and the altercations were expected. Austin Watson and Patrick Maroon of the Blues went after each other just two seconds into the contest, dropping the gloves right out of the gate. Nashville Predators defeat Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1
Rinne had missed the last five games due to injury, but tonight’s performance, where he blocked 42 shots on net, proves the rest did him some good. Pekka never missed a beat. Nashville owned the first period scoring at 6:02 of the first period when Kyle Turris got the tip in on net for the early 1-0 lead.
