Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball team will make the short 81-mile trek down Interstate 24, Wednesday, to Middle Tennessee and Blue Raider Softball Field for its first mid-week contest of the 2019 season.
The Governors (8-6) enter the tilt coming off a 3-1 weekend where they swept McNeese in a three-game series before dropping the weekend finale to Lamar.

Autumn Hanners’ gem lifts Austin Peay Softball past Morehead State

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Autumn Hanners took a shutout into the seventh inning versus Morehead State, Friday afternoon at Cheryl Holt Field, before coming away with a 7-1 Ohio Valley Conference victory and a split of their doubleheader after APSU dropped Game 1, 11-0.
The loss by Morehead State ended their 10-game win streak.

Bowling Green, KY – Austin Peay State University’s softball team couldn’t slow down the Indiana State offense, Saturday afternoon at the WKU Softball Complex, as the Govs gave up a season-high in runs allowed in a 17-5 loss at the Hilltopper Spring Fling Tournament.

APSU Softball opens season with wins over South Carolina State and Kennesaw State

Kennesaw, GA – Austin Peay State University’s softball team opened its 2017 regular season with two wins, Saturday at Bailey Park, in the Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament with the Govs defeating South Carolina State 12-2 – in five innings – before handling Kennesaw State, 9-1.
The two wins mark the first time since the start of the 2007 season the Govs had opened a campaign with back-to-back victories, while also extending its current streak of season-opening wins to six.
