Gabelmann, briskly walked through the tinted glass doors of 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), headquarters and warmly greeted the Soldiers manning the staff duty desk. Perry III, outgoing senior enlisted adviser for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade “Lifeliners”, 101st Abn. Div. “[The 101st Abn. Div.] was a division I always wanted to serve in, and I finally got the opportunity when the Army selected me to be ‘Lifeliner 7,’ nearly two years ago.” The Austintown, Ohio native, relinquished responsibility of the “Lifeliner” Brigade to Command Sgt. 101st Airborne Division Blue Spaders’ hold Change of Responsibility CeremonyWritten by 1st Lt. Daniel Johnson Fort Campbell, KY – 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team held a change of responsibility ceremony April 18th in which outgoing commander Lt. Col. Ryan Wylie relinquished duties to incoming commander Lt. Col. Keith Carter. Wylie was the first commander of 1-26 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and led the unit on its first deployment in the unit’s history as part of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), where they supported Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq. ![]() U.S Army Col.
