Fort Campbell, KY – Recently the Bastogne senior enlisted adviser, Command Sgt. Maj. Wray E. Gabelmann, briskly walked through the tinted glass doors of 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), headquarters and warmly greeted the Soldiers manning the staff duty desk.

Gabelmann turned the corner and passed a wall of photos of past leaders of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), as he made his way into his office as he had done so many times in the past 30 months.

Fort Campbell, KY – “It took me 23 years to finally serve in the greatest division in our Army,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Perry III, outgoing senior enlisted adviser for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade “Lifeliners”, 101st Abn. Div. “[The 101st Abn. Div.] was a division I always wanted to serve in, and I finally got the opportunity when the Army selected me to be ‘Lifeliner 7,’ nearly two years ago.”

The Austintown, Ohio native, relinquished responsibility of the “Lifeliner” Brigade to Command Sgt. Maj. Anthony B. McAdoo, a native of Somerset, Kentucky, September 7th, during a change of responsibility ceremony, here.

101st Airborne Division Blue Spaders’ hold Change of Responsibility Ceremony

2nd Brigade Combat Team - StrikeFort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne Division

Fort Campbell, KY – 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team held a change of responsibility ceremony April 18th in which outgoing commander Lt. Col. Ryan Wylie relinquished duties to incoming commander Lt. Col. Keith Carter.

Wylie was the first commander of 1-26 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and led the unit on its first deployment in the unit’s history as part of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), where they supported Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq.

Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to hold Change of Responsibility

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas D. Sutphin, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s top noncommissioned officer, is slated to change responsibility with Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher M. Earle at 2:00pm March 31st, 2017.

Sutphin took charge of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, April 9th, 2015. Just shy of two years, he is leaving Fort Campbell to take the helm as the Inspector General Sergeant Major for U.S. Army Africa – Southern European Task Force, Vicenza, Italy.

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers, families, dignitaries and friends of the 101st Special Troops Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division gathered to send off Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher T. Crawford and welcome Command Sgt. Maj. Frank M. Graham to the battalion during a change of responsibility ceremony October 28th at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The ceremony furthered the Army’s heritage and carried on traditions dating back to the Continental Army.

During the ceremony, Command Sgt. Maj. David J. Tookmanian relinquished responsibility as the senior enlisted adviser of the U.S. Army’s most decorated military police battalion to Command Sgt. Maj. John D. Vicars.

Fort Campbell’s 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion conducts change of responsibility

Fort Campbell, KY – A crowd of Family, friends and fellow Soldiers turned out to watch the 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, Change of Responsibility ceremony July 11th, at Fort Campbell, KY, as Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis J. Collins symbolically transferred responsibility as battalion command sergeant major to Command Sgt. Maj. Roger Rendon.

The ceremony took place behind the 129th CSSB’s companies’ building in the 101st Sustainment Brigade quad.

Fort Campbell Garrison Command Sergeant Major Change of Responsibility Ceremony Monday, June 23rd

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Command Sergeant Major Stephen Bower will relinquish responsibility and authority as command sergeant major of the Fort Campbell Garrison, a component of the Installation Management Command, to Command Sergeant Major Gabriel Espinosa at a ceremony in front of the Garrison Headquarters, Monday, June 23rd at 3:00pm.

Command Sgt. Maj. Espinosa joins the Fort Campbell Garrison Command Group from Fort Riley, KS, where he was the Battalion Command Sgt. Maj. for 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery, and, most recently, the Command Sgt. Maj. of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.

Lifeliner Command Sergeant Major passes responsibility in ceremony at Fort Campbell

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne Division101st Sustainment Brigade - LifelinersFort Campbell, KY – During a ceremony that emphasized the role of Army noncommissioned officers, Command Sgt. Maj. Eugene Thomas relinquished responsibility as Command Sgt. Maj. Ian Griffin assumed responsibility of the 101st Sustainment Brigade “Lifeliners”, April 14th, at Fort Campbell, KY. The change of responsibility ceremony honors the traditions embodied by the noncommissioned officers in the unit.

During the ceremony, the Soldiers, families and friends bid an emotional farewell to Thomas, who is preparing for retirement after 32 years of admirable military service.
