Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – The Nashville Sounds suffered their seventh consecutive loss on Saturday evening, falling 12-7 against Albuquerque at Isotopes Park.

Every starting Sounds position player recorded a hit during the club’s 13-hit effort, paced by a 2-for-5 Eugenio Velez effort that included a homer and extended the infielder’s on-base streak to 27 consecutive games.

Nashville Sounds rally falls short in 9-7 loss to Albuquerque Isotopes

 

AlbNashville Soundsuquerque, NM – Despite stringing together a five-run seventh-inning rally to go ahead of the Albuquerque Isotopes Friday night at Isotopes Park, the Nashville Sounds were unable to hold off the ‘Topes final charge, losing 9-7 for the team’s sixth consecutive loss.

Sounds reliever Brent Leach (0-2) entered the game in the eighth inning with Nashville leading 6-5. The right-handed pitcher allowed a single to his first batter before recording two outs. A single from former Sound Tony Gwynn Jr. put runners on the corners for the ‘Topes and ended Leach’s night.

Nashville Sounds keep Albuquerque Isotopes at bay for 3-2 win

 

Nashville’s Johnny Hellweg Nabs Ninth Win In 3-2 Victory

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds held on to defeat the visiting Albuquerque Isotopes by a margin of 3-2 Thursday night at Greer Stadium to give Nashville the 2-2 series split.

Tied 1-1 in the fourth inning, Cole Garner helped the Sounds pull ahead with a double to the gap in right-center field, plating Kentrail Davis, who reached base on balls. Starting pitcher Johnny Hellweg (9-4) pushed a sacrifice bunt, his second of the night, to advance Garner to third. Josh Prince hit a sac-fly to drive in Garner and give the Sounds a 3-1 lead.

Nashville Sounds get Homerun from Khris Davis to beat Albuquerque Isotopes 6-5

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Khris Davis’ three-run, seventh-inning homer propelled the Nashville Sounds to a come-from-behind 6-5 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Monday evening at Greer Stadium in the opener of a four-game series.

The victory was the fourth in the last five games for Nashville (37-66). Sounds batters rapped out 12 hits on the night but also struck out 15 times.

Nashville Sounds blasted by Albuquerque Isotopes, 10-1

 

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – The Nashville Sounds allowed a season-high 18 hits in Tuesday night’s 10-1 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes. The loss gives the ‘Topes the series win with still one game remaining in the three-game set at Isotopes Park.

Sounds starting pitcher Chris Narveson (2-5) had a rough night, allowing nine runs to the Isotopes over 4 1/3 innings. He allowed 12 hits to Albuquerque batters, the most surrendered by a Sounds pitcher this season, to take his fifth loss. He fanned one and walked one.

Johnny Hellweg leads Nashville Sounds to 3-2 win over Albuquerque Isotopes Sunday at Greer Stadium

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Johnny Hellweg tossed a quality start and was backed by home runs by Hunter Morris and Khris Davis as the Nashville Sounds defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes, 3-2, on Sunday afternoon at Greer Stadium.

Hellweg (3-4) earned a victory for the second time in his last three outings for Nashville. The fireballer held the Isotopes to one run on two hits over six innings of work, striking out five batters while walking four during his 94-pitch effort.

Nashville’s Prince Goes Yard For Second Straight Night

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds allowed a season-high 16 hits to the Albuquerque Isotopes Friday night at Greer Stadium to lose the homestand opener 10-7.

The Sounds never recovered from Albuquerque’s early jump on Sounds starting pitcher, Frankie De La Cruz (1-6), who allowed four runs in the first inning, one in the second, and two in the third. The right-hander took the loss, his sixth, with two walks and one strikeout.
