Clarksville High Advanced Baseball Camp to be held in June

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – The Clarksville High Coaching Staff and players led by Head Coach Brian Hetland will be conducting an Advanced Baseball Camp for boys ages 9-13. The Camp will be held at the Clarksville High Baseball Facilities on June 2nd-4th from 9:00am- 12:00pm.

All skill instruction along with individual and team concepts will be covered in this high intensity camp. The cost of the camp is $90.00 dollars and a camp t-shirt will be included.

Sports Fanalyst FourthoughtsClarksville, TN – I recently realized the primary color in most of my favorite sports teams (Spurs, Ravens, etc..) is black. I wonder if that is a subconscious acknowledgement of the slimming effect of black clothes. Regardless, here are my more relatable sports FourThoughts for this week.

NFL Draft: Must See TV

I have watched the NFL draft for years as a fan and a fantasy football player looking for an edge. I think it is hands down, the best draft of the major pro sports. Apparently, this year I was joined by a record breaking number of NFL draft enthusiasts.

No Upsets On First Day Of District 10-AAA Baseball And Softball Tournaments

 

Clarksville, TN – The high school baseball and softball regular seasons came to a close Thursday and the District 10 baseball and softball tournaments began Friday, May 2nd.

In softball, the regular season champions, Clarksville High Lady Wildcats hosted two games of the tournament at their field.

The baseball tournament is double elimination, with a winners and losers bracket, hosted at the district’s number one and two seeds sites. The top seeded Clarksville High Wildcats hosted two games as well as the second seeded Rossiew Hawks.

Clarksville High Wildcats Baseball roar past Northwest Vikings 6-2 to advance In District 10-AAA Tournament

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – The Clarksville High Wildcats baseball team, this season’s District 10-AAA regular season champions, hosted their first game of the District 10-AAA Tournament against the Northwest Vikings Friday evening.

The Wildcats took advantage of Viking errors to win the game 6-2 and advance to the next round.

Errors led to the Wildcats to take a 3-0 lead after three innings. The Vikings capitalized on a Wildcat’s pitching change in the top of the fifth inning to rally within one of the Wildcats, 3-2.

Clarksville High Wildcats Baseball holds off Beech Buccaneers for 7-5 win, Remain Undefeated

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Down 7-0 after five innings, the Beech Buccaneers baseball team scored four runs in the sixth in a rally to at least tie the Clarksville High Wildcats Saturday, March 22nd, in the second game of a doubleheader at Clarksville High.

However, the Buccaneers rally came up short and the Wildcats won 7-5, improving to an undefeated 8-0 record.

Wildcats starting pitcher, Teal Young, held the Buccaneers scoreless during his five innings on the mound. Young finished the day allowing only 3 hits and striking out three.

However, the Buccaneers took advantage of the Wildcats sixth inning pitching change to score four runs. «Read the rest of this article»
