Clarksville’s Jimmie Garland selected District Director of State School Boards Association

 

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, TN – Jimmie Garland has been appointed as the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) Mid-Cumberland District Director.

He served as TSBA At-Large Member in 2015. He has been a member of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Board of Education since 2001.

Clarksville’s Pisgah Elementary School to Host Community Open House Sunday

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – A community open house will be held at Pisgah Elementary School Sunday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The school is located on the corner of Hazelwood Road and Needmore Road.

Northwest High School renovation project vote tonight

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Board of Education will vote on the $15.4 million construction resolution for the proposed renovation of Northwest High School at its 7:00pm meeting tonight.

The high school opened in the fall of 1970 and the project will include significant upgrades, with a focus on safety and security.

Board of Education earns TSBA Board of Distinction honor

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Board of Education is being honored by the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) for its efforts to effectively govern public schools for more than 28,000 students.

TSBA will present its prestigious Board of Distinction Award, which recognizes outstanding performance by the entire school board, at a public board meeting to highlight the accomplishments of Clarksville-Montgomery County’s elected education leaders. Governor’s Volunteer Stars Award Nominations being accepted

 

Nominations for the Third Annual Governor’s Volunteer Stars Awards are now being accepted within Montgomery County. The awards will celebrate the efforts of volunteers who strive to improve their communities through service.

One youth and one adult will be selected in Montgomery County to receive this prestigious award.
